One-on-One College Consulting specializes in working with student-athletes who have the ability to play their sport at the collegiate level.  The college search process for student-athletes at any level (both athletic scholarship players and non-scholarship players) is naturally accelerated.  Starting the college search process early is vital so that student-athletes have ample opportunities to market themselves to college coaches, gain exposure at showcases/camps/tournaments and receive critical feedback from evaluators regarding their level of college play and type of program in which they are capable of playing.

Matching a student to a college is time-consuming and personal. For student-athletes, the matching process is even more complex. The student-athlete’s college list may be revised several times before the final target list is complete.

The road to playing college sports twists and turns and is different for each student-athlete that journeys along it.  One-on-One College Consulting keeps student-athletes “on course” as they focus their efforts on using sports as one piece of the puzzle in searching for their personal best overall academic, athletic and social college fit.

One-on-One College Consulting offers a variety of products and service packages for student-athletes and their families and for those who work with student-athletes (i.e. coaches, counselors, etc.).

• Student-Athlete Consultation Service – billable by the hour

• The Quick Hitter Package – a one-time meeting (90 minutes max.), either by phone or in-person designed to help better position student-athletes for a successful journey on the road to playing college sports.  Covers the main facets of the college athletic-recruiting process, and includes a list of athletic programs and coach contact information.  Topics include:  NCAA Rules & Regulations, effective self-marketing, contacting college coaches, demystifying NCAA Division levels I, II, III, and effective evaluation of a college athletic program.  Does NOT include an evaluation of the student-athlete’s academic record or athletic talent so does not provide a target list of colleges.      

• The Playbook Package  (Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) - Includes complete College Search Service AND The Quick Hitter, PLUS:  Evaluating student-athlete’s athletic talent level  * Researching college athletic programs and present an “Athletic Fit” College List tailored specifically to student-athlete’s athletic talent and athletic program desires  * Cross-referencing “Athletic Fit” College List with “Academic Fit” College List to produce student-athlete’s ultimate “Target College List” – the most valuable part!!! * Monitoring progress of student-athlete/college coach relationship  * Advising official and/or unofficial athletic campus visit planning and scheduling  *  Assisting student-athlete with final college decision

• The Game-Time Package  (Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) - Combines The Playbook Package with the College Application Service to create the Most Comprehensive College Advising Package for Student-Athletes there is, hands-down!

One-on-One College Consulting provides student-athletes with direction and guidance to fit them for success as they travel along the road to playing college sports.  They begin their journey when they are introduced to general college planning principles and rules with The Quick Hitter.  Then they stretch and grow with The Playbook, a system that teaches them the secrets to an effective college search with strong emphasis on the fundamentals of self-exploration and how to research colleges and their athletic programs.  When The Game-Time comes they are mentally and physically ready to be coached through the college application process, writing essays on their own and meeting deadlines.  At the end of their journey, they will make their final college choice with confidence because they will have explored all of their options and will have made informed decisions along the way.  The Game-Time Package includes an Athletic Profile and DVD for the student-athlete.

The Academic Basketball Workshop

• One-on-One College Consulting now offers a unique group option at a great value.  The Academic Basketball Workshop is a must event for any high school basketball player whose goal is to play college
  hoops at the D 1, D 2, or D 3 level. The workshop is ideal for high school and/or AAU players and their families as well as coaches
  and individuals who work with high school student-athletes.

Overview of Student-Athlete Products

Every student-athlete can benefit from these two essential marketing tools: 

• Athletic Profile (resume):  contains pictures of student-athlete with sport-specific statistics   and contact information in PDF format, ready to be emailed directly to coaches on Target List.

• Professionally-edited DVD:  (10 copies)  ESPN editor features the student-athlete in action with a spot shadow over the athlete for easy identification.  Client is responsible for supplying no more than 4 full game films (either in digital or VHS format).

The student-athlete Athletic Profile and DVD are included in The Game-Time Package only.  They may be purchased separately or as add-ons to other services, as well.
