Kim Penney,
principal consultant and founder of
One-on-One College Consulting,
is an associate member of the
Independent Educational
Consultant Association (IECA).
She holds a B.A. in psychology
from Tufts University and a
M.Ed. in guidance counseling
from Salem State College. Kim
has personally experienced the
college admissions process from
four distinct views: as a
college student-athlete, as a
college assistant
coach/recruiter, as a licensed
high school guidance counselor,
and as a high school coach.
Currently, she is entering her
tenth season as the girls
varsity basketball coach at
Reading Memorial High School in
Reading, MA where many of her
players have gone on to play
college sports at the Division
I, II and III level. Kim is
director of Reading Girls
Basketball Camps and frequently
speaks at local AAU tournaments
and college basketball
camps/showcases throughout New
England.
Sue Madden
is a video-editing specialist
and executive producer for
One-on-One College Consulting.
Sue holds a B.S. in Electronic
Media, Arts and Communication
from Rensselear Polytechnic
Institute. Sue is a former
athlete who played basketball,
softball, soccer, and track and
field throughout her career.
She currently holds the indoor
and outdoor shot put records at
both Reading Memorial High
School and RPI. Her previous
work experience includes
animating videos and working in
a broadcasting department
testing video editing software
that is used to create sitcoms
and movies. Sue currently works
at ESPN, the World Wide leader
in sports, testing all of the
graphics seen on TV and the
bottom scroll that shows all of
the sports information.
